Basketball Game Preview: Soroco Rams vs. Sierra Grande Panthers + How To Watch

The Soroco Rams will be taking part in a tournament against the Sierra Grande Panthers at 4:40 p.m. on Thursday. Soroco has now lost 14 straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 18.

Soroco saw some tournament action on Saturday. They lost 74-53 to Nucla.

Despite the defeat, Soroco had strong showings from Aiden Pittington, who shot 40% from the field on his way to 24 points and six rebounds, and Joseph Cordova, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 11 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. Cordova is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Caden McHaffie, who posted 11 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Sierra Grande against Calhan on Saturday as the squad secured a 61-34 victory.

Soroco's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sierra Grande, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
