Volleyball Recap: West Creek Coyote vs. Kirkwood Cobras

After flying high against Kenwood on Tuesday, West Creek came back down to earth. The Coyote lost 3-0 to the Kirkwood Cobras on Wednesday. If the Coyote were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Cobras when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While West Creek ultimately came up short, they really made Kirkwood work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-23, 25-14.

Several Coyote players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lorelei Castaneda, who had six digs and three aces.

Kirkwood was led to victory by Jada Taylor and Jaydah Jordan. Taylor had 18 assists and eight digs, while Jordan had eight digs and four aces. That's the most digs Jordan has posted over her last five matches.
