Basketball Game Preview: Central Academy Cougars vs. Parkwood Wolf Pack

Central Academy hasn't had much luck against Parkwood recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Central Academy Cougars will take on the Parkwood Wolf Pack at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Central Academy is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game on Tuesday. They were beaten by Monroe 75-35. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 643rd, while the Redhawks are ranked 195th).

Meanwhile, Parkwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 58-40 fall against Piedmont.

Central Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Parkwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-16.

Central Academy took a serious blow against Parkwood in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 73-46. Can Central Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
