The Renaissance Academy Knights will face off against the Faith Christian Academy Lions at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Renaissance Academy has given up an average of 11.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Renaissance Academy will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run last Friday, then bounced right back against Collegium Charter last Monday. The Knights came out on top against the Cougar by a score of 16-13. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Cougar: they've now won three in a row.
Gabby Anderoni was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and five unearned) runs off three hits. Anderoni was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-6 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

In other batting news, Grace Trexler was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Romano, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Renaissance Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Faith Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 6-1 to Bristol. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.
The victory got Renaissance Academy back to even at 6-6. As for Faith Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
