While Angelina Eakman delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Mercer. Nobody could stop Eakman as she struck out 11 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

Coming up, Eakman and Mercer will be playing at home against Sharpsville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sadly, Eakman's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Mustangs' three-game streak of wins on the road.
