Shenandoah Valley extends road losing streak to 12

Recap: Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils vs. Nativity BVM Green Wave

The Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Nativity BVM on the road and fell 68-37. Shenandoah Valley has struggled against Nativity BVM recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Leading Nativity BVM to victory were Mike Quirk and Trey Keating. Quirk scored nine points along with five assists and five steals, while Keating scored 24 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Keating has scored at least a third of Nativity BVM's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Walborn, who scored three points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Shenandoah Valley dropped their record down to 2-16 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Nativity BVM, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shenandoah Valley will take on Marian Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Marian Catholic has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Nativity BVM, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against West Shore Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 27th. West Shore Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 551st, while Nativity BVM is ranked 245th).
