Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Atlantic Collegiate Academy's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Atlantic Collegiate Academy extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Jamie Brooks. The Atlantic Collegiate Academy Armada simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Kingstree Blazers 74-40 thanks in part to Brooks, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games.

Despite the loss, Kingstree still got an impressive performance from Mal'Aki Matthews, who posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of ZyMarreon McKnight, who scored seven points.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Kingstree, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Atlantic Collegiate Academy has already played their next contest, a 59-46 victory against Lugoff-Elgin on the 18th. As for Kingstree, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
