Barbers Hill has gone 9-1 against Nederland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Barbers Hill's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Nederland's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Barbers Hill is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Port Neches-Groves on Friday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 3-2. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Barbers Hill got a good showing from Bridger Thomas, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, Thomas gave up only three hits, the fewest he's had since back in February.

On the hitting side, Joseph Ponder made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Nederland had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Titans as they made off with a 10-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Barbers Hill's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 18-4. As for Nederland, their victory bumped their record up to 17-3.

Barbers Hill might still be hurting after the 13-4 defeat they got from Nederland in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
