Basketball Recap: BASIS Phoenix Firebirds vs. Lincoln Prep Lightning
BASIS Phoenix kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They received a blow as they fell 64-47 to the Lincoln Prep Lightning. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Firebirds of the 51-40 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.
Torey Williams was nothing short of spectacular for Lincoln Prep: he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 19 rebounds. Dionte James was another key player, posting seven points plus eight rebounds and four steals.
