Volleyball Recap: Hapeville Charter Comes Up Short on the Road Against Creekside

Hapeville Charter had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Creekside Seminoles on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Seminoles: they've now lost five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-5.

Quran Rogers paced Hapeville Charter's offense, picking up four kills. Rogers got some help from Maaliyah Dorcoo and her five assists. Janyiah Stanley controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Creekside's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

Hapeville Charter will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Holy Innocents Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on September 9. This will be the Hornets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Creekside, they will challenge Buford at 6:00 p.m. on the 21st.
