Softball Recap: Mountainside Takes a Loss

Mountainside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions, falling 25-6.

Mountainside's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 2-8 record.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mountainside will take on rival Glendale Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, St. John Paul II Catholic is set to square off against their familiar foe Wickenburg at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
