Softball Recap: Lumberton Panthers vs. Bogue Chitto Bobcats
After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Lumberton was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They fell 6-2 to the Bogue Chitto Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 on Thursday.

Carmen Walters was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles.
In other batting news, Serenity Morgan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Lumberton has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Bogue Chitto, their victory bumped their record up to 7-19.
As of now, neither Lumberton nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
