Basketball Recap: Mormon Trail Sets Scoring Season-High Against Melcher-Dallas

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mormon Trail). They walked away with a 72-59 victory over the Melcher-Dallas Saints on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but Mormon Trail sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Mormon Trail's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Melcher-Dallas, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Mormon Trail will take on Central Decatur in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mormon Trail knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Central Decatur likes a good challenge. As for Melcher-Dallas, they will be home for the holidays to greet Seymour at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Melcher-Dallas is facing Seymour at the right time seeing as Seymour is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
