The Sharpsville Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Reynolds Raiders at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Sharpsville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.1 runs per game this season.

Sharpsville is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Cambridge Springs just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Devils by a score of 4-3.

Lily Palko was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Keeley Whitaker was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Reynolds was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mercer.

Sharpsville's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Reynolds, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Everything went Sharpsville's way against Reynolds in their previous meeting last Monday, as Sharpsville made off with a 19-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
