Basketball Recap: Dexter Falls Short Against Ranked Schenck

On Monday, Dexter faced Schenck in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Dexter Tigers lost 51-29 to the Schenck Wolverines. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Dexter had strong showings from Ethan Doherty, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards, and Kody Kimball, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.

Dexter's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Schenck, their win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dexter will venture away from home to challenge Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Schenck, they are taking a road trip to take on Bangor Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bangor Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Schenck surely won't give up without a fight.
