Basketball Recap: Lake City Takes a Loss

Lake City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 40-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Houghton Lake Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 34-25 back in December of 2024.

Lake City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Houghton Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12.

Lake City has already played their next contest, a 75-20 loss against Pine River Area on the 7th. As for Houghton Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Roscommon at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Roscommon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Houghton Lake likes a good challenge.
