Volleyball Recap: Warren Central Warriors vs. Indianapolis Lutheran Saints

After flying high against Indianapolis Shortridge last Monday, Warren Central came back down to earth. The Warren Central Warriors lost 3-0 to the Indianapolis Lutheran Saints on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-19, 25-16.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indianapolis Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rhianon Wilson, who had five digs and four aces. That's the most aces Wilson has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Cathryn Erwin, who had six digs and two aces.

Warren Central has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-13 record this season.

Warren Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Shelbyville on the 10th. Indianapolis Lutheran has also already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Cascade on the 10th.
