Basketball Recap: Circle Christian Falls Despite Big Games from Lucas Valdes and Noah Whisler

Circle Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 78-64 bruising from the Father Lopez Green Wave. The Centurions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Green Wave from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Circle Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Noah Whisler, who went 12 for 25 on his way to 32 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Lucas Valdes, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards. That's the most points Valdes has posted since back in February of 2024.

Circle Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Father Lopez, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-11.

Circle Christian will be playing at home against Family Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Father Lopez, they will face off against Menendez at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
