Soccer Recap: Cave Spring Comes Up Short

Cave Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glenvar Highlanders. While losing is never fun, Cave Spring can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Glenvar are ranked 13th).

Cave Spring's loss dropped their record down to 3-12-1. As for Glenvar, the win keeps they at an undefeated 14-0.

Cave Spring didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against Hidden Valley on the 20th. As for Glenvar, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 6-1 victory against Alleghany on the 20th.
