Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Salem walked away with it. They came out on top against the East Marion Eagles by a score of 51-42 on Friday. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Salem's win bumped their record up to 7-16. As for East Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-20.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salem will venture away from home to square off against West Tallahatchie at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Marion, they are taking a road trip to face off against Simmons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Simmons will roll in looking for their 26th straight victory, something East Marion surely won't give up without a fight.
