Baseball Game Preview: O'Connor Eagles vs. Liberty Lions

For the second straight game, O'Connor will face off against Liberty. The Eagles will host the Lions at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. O'Connor's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Liberty's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

O'Connor is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Liberty, who was ranked eighth at the time (O'Connor was ranked 15th). The Eagles fell just short of the Lions by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

O'Connor saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Imboden, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Brent Sollars was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI.

Liberty pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.
