Softball Recap: Hermann Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hermann waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the South Callaway Bulldogs a 12-0 shutout. The Bearcats were shut out 11-0 the last time they took on the Bulldogs, so the Bearcats were just returning the favor.

Taylor Carver was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in September of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Kimber Hale was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Delilah Nobel, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Hermann always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Hermann's record now sits at 8-6. As for South Callaway, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coming up, Hermann will head out on the road to challenge St. Pius X at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Callaway, they will face off against Fayette at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Falcons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
