Basketball Game Preview: Ashville Bulldogs vs. Oneonta Redskins

Ashville is 1-9 against Oneonta since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Ashville Bulldogs will welcome the Oneonta Redskins at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Ashville turned things around against Weaver on Friday. They breezed by the Bearcats to the tune of 55-22. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their 24-point performance the match before.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Oneonta, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They secured a 35-30 W over Hokes Bluff on Monday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Redskins' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 316th, while the Eagles are ranked 156th).

Ashville's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Oneonta, their victory bumped their record up to 2-9.

Ashville skirted past Oneonta 39-36 in their previous meeting back in February. Does Ashville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oneonta turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
