Football Recap: San Juan Hills Makes It Seven in a Row at Home + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Corona del Mar, San Juan Hills was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Yorba Linda Mustangs as they made off with a 41-17 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Stallions considering their ten-point performance the matchup before.

Timmy Herr had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 53 yards and two scores, while also throwing for 200 yards on 17 of 24 attempts.

San Juan Hills didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Yorba Linda to a completion percentage of just 45.8%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from four players: Roman Paseka, Dean Kolasinski, Chase Mason, and Tyler Adams, who each logged one passes deflected. San Juan Hills wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 72%.

San Juan Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Luke Frith and Mason. Paseka was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, making eight total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defending one pass.

Although Yorba Linda took the loss, they still got scores from Vaughn Sharp and Noah Trujillo.

San Juan Hills pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 34.9 points this season. As for Yorba Linda, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.
