Softball Recap: University Takes a Loss

University fell victim to St. Joseph Notre Dame and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Pilots, falling 20-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 6-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

University's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for St. Joseph Notre Dame, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University will host The Bay School at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Breakers have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for St. Joseph Notre Dame, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Head-Royce at 4:00 p.m.
