Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

The Roosevelt Rough Riders wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Roosevelt saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teddy Maccarone, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Roosevelt now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will host Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Rough Riders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, they will welcome Holy Name at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
