Softball Game Preview: Southwestern Sabers vs. Douglass Mighty Ducks

The Southwestern Sabers will venture away from home to square off against the Douglass Mighty Ducks at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Southwestern has given up an average of 16.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Southwestern came up short against Academy for College and Career Exploration on Monday, falling 15-7. The Sabers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Douglass had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Lake Clifton with a sharp 17-6 victory on Wednesday.

Douglass' win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Southwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Southwestern suffered a grim 24-6 defeat to Douglass when the teams last played back in March. Can the Sabers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
