Carbondale had lost five straight at home, but  on Friday they dropped down to 3-6 to make it six. They received a  blow  as they fell  47-28 to the Mascoutah Indians. If the Terriers were looking for revenge after losing  42-38 to the Indians when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

 Carbondale's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Davin Wooley, who threw for 371 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 42 yards. Wooley is becoming a predictor of the Terriers' success: when he posts  at  least three  passing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't). A healthy portion of  Wooley's aerial production (168 yards to be exact)  went to  Braylon Berry, who also brought in a  receiving touchdown.
As for Mascoutah, their win bumped their record up to 6-3. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their ten-point performance the  contest before.
 Mascoutah's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Nygel Bowers led the charge by rushing for 83 yards and three  scores on only seven carries. Bowers got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 54 yards. Another player making a difference was  Noah Collins, who rushed for 185 yards and one  TD.
 Carbondale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mascoutah, they are taking a road trip to  challenge Bloomington  at 6:00  p.m.  on Saturday. That  matchup will pit two of the most dominant  backs against one another:  Sean Murphy and  Ky'Veon Chestnut.
