Baseball Recap: Murphy Takes a Loss

Murphy was the 13-0 winner over Rosman when they last played one another back in May of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Murphy fell just short of Rosman by a score of 6-5 on Monday. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Colton Morgan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Adam Cook was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

Murphy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Rosman, they moved to 4-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Murphy will take on Rabun Gap-Nacoochee at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rosman, they will square off against Madison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
