Softball Recap: West Jefferson Comes Up Short

If West Jefferson was riding high fresh off their 20-6 takedown of Salmon on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ririe Bulldogs on Saturday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 23-13.

West Jefferson has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Ririe, they pushed their record up to 12-10 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

West Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ririe, they will square off against North Fremont at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
