Pearland has gone 9-1 against Alvin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Pearland Oilers will take on the Alvin Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. Pearland will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Pearland blew past Sam Rayburn, posting a 62-6 win. The Oilers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pearland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shiloh Grays, who went 10 for 12 on her way to 20 points and six rebounds. Grays continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of A?Zyua Blair, who went 7 of 11 on her way to 15 points and six steals.

Pearland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 29 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Alvin played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Shadow Creek and fell 83-21. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 990th, while the Sharks are ranked 143rd).

Pearland pushed their record up to 23-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Alvin, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 15 of their last 19 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Pearland against Alvin when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 76-13 win. In that contest, Pearland amassed a halftime lead of 46-3, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
