El Dorado is 0-10 against Liberty Ranch since April of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Cougars will challenge the Hawks at 3:30 p.m. El Dorado has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times El Dorado and Galt had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Cougars lost 13-3 to the Warriors on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Liberty Ranch came tearing into Monday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Wolverines. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by nine runs or more this season.
Paityn Snow was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Liberty Ranch got a massive performance out of Mariella Granata, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Kylie Diggle was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Liberty Ranch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rosemont only posted an OBP of .318.
Liberty Ranch pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for El Dorado, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11-1.
El Dorado might still be hurting after the 16-0 loss they got from Liberty Ranch in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
