Softball Recap: Cascade Comes Up Short

Cascade lost against Lake Stevens back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bruins lost 10-2 to the Vikings. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cascade saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cienna Cannon, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Cannon is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Jayda Churchill also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Cascade's record is now 3-6. As for Lake Stevens, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cascade will head out to take on Arlington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bruins are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Lake Stevens, they will venture away from home to challenge Jackson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
