Volleyball Recap: Hamilton Takes a Loss

Hamilton had lost five straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 0-8 to make it six. They lost 3-0 to the Lakota East Thunderhawks. If the Big Blue were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Thunderhawks when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Lakota East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. The win was nothing new for Lakota East as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Leading Lakota East to victory were Carson Berling and Will Huelskamp. Berling had 12 aces and three digs, while Huelskamp had nine aces and four digs. Those nine aces gave Huelskamp a new career-high. Jackson Rupp also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton will face off against Middletown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakota East, they will square off against Loveland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
