Recap: Lakota Tech Tatanka vs. Mobridge-Pollock Tigers
If the Lakota Tech Tatanka were riding high off their 75-55 takedown of the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lakota Tech fell to the Tigers 66-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Lakota Tech's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Gilbert White Jr., who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and six steals, and Treyton Sam who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sam has scored all season. Riley Casey was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Lakota Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Mobridge-Pollock, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakota Tech will take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Todd County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Mobridge-Pollock, they will be playing at home against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Timber Lake is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
