Basketball Game Preview: Bonny Eagle Scots vs. South Portland Red Riots

Bonny Eagle is 1-9 against South Portland since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Both will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bonny Eagle beat Kennebunk 58-54. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Scots.

Meanwhile, South Portland didn't have too much trouble with Sanford on Friday as they won 63-46.

Bonny Eagle's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for South Portland, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Bonny Eagle came up short against South Portland in their previous meeting back in February, falling 60-52. Can Bonny Eagle avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
