Moriarty hadn't done well against Hope Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Moriarty walked away with a 6-3 win over Hope Christian. The victory was familiar territory for the Pintos, who have now won five matches in a row.

Isabella Gallegos made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.

Gallegos wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Emma Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Moriarty's record now sits at 7-1. As for Hope Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Moriarty wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-1 win against Espanola Valley on the 22nd. As for Hope Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 12-7 victory against Navajo Prep on the 22nd.
