Basketball Recap: Bracken County Takes a Loss

Bracken County lost against Dixie Heights last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bracken County Polar Bears lost 67-41 to the Dixie Heights Colonels. While losing is never fun, the Polar Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Colonels are ranked 47th).

Bracken County has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season. As for Dixie Heights, their win bumped their record up to 19-7.

Coming up, Bracken County will take on Dayton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dixie Heights, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-52 defeat against Cooper on the 18th.
