Baseball Game Preview: Pleasant Grove Spartans vs. Fairfield Tigers

The Pleasant Grove Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fairfield Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Pleasant Grove is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

Caleb Rose made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off ten hits (and only one walk). The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. He has become a key player for Pleasant Grove: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise.

In other batting news, Pleasant Grove got a massive performance out of Tre'Mell Washington, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
