Recap: Tiospaye Topa Thunderhawks vs. Harding County Ranchers
The Tiospaye Topa Thunderhawks lost against the Harding County Ranchers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Tiospaye Topa was outmatched by Harding County on the road and fell 70-34. Tiospaye Topa has struggled against Harding County recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Payton Dvorak, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals for Harding County. Dvorak has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nayati Bickerdyke, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Tiospaye Topa has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Harding County, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tiospaye Topa will square off against Lemmon at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Lemmon's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Tiospaye Topa has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. As for Harding County, they will square off against Hettinger/Scranton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Harding County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday.
