Baseball Game Preview: Scappoose Indians vs. Tillamook Cheesemakers

Scappoose has won nine straight games at home, while Tillamook has won nine straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Indians will welcome the Cheesemakers at 5:00 p.m. Scappoose's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Tillamook's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Monday, Scappoose was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Helens, taking the game 4-1.

Meanwhile, Tillamook earned a 4-1 win over Astoria on Monday. The Cheesemakers haven't had any issues with the Fishermen recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Scappoose is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Tillamook, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.

Scappoose was able to grind out a solid win over Tillamook in their previous meeting back in April, winning 4-1. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Cheesemakers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
