Baseball Game Preview: Loretto Mustangs vs. Lawrence County Wildcats

For the second straight game, Loretto will face off against Lawrence County. The Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Loretto is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

While Loretto's win against Lawrence County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Wildcats on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Grayson Burleson, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Loretto's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-13 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Lucas Laxson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
