Flag Football Recap: Air Academy Snags Two Interceptions Passes in Loss

Air Academy lost against Doherty back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kadets fell 16-8 to the Spartans.

Air Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Cameron Paget and Tess Heater, who each picked up one interception apiece. Air Academy got some further help from Samantha Hopmayer: she made 13 total tackles.

The critical scores for Doherty came from Bella Marquez and Sontee Keys.

Air Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Doherty, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Air Academy has already played their next game, a 6-0 victory against Palmer on the 8th. As for Doherty, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-0 win against Colorado Springs Christian on the 9th.
