Basketball Recap: Elizabethtown Comes Up Short

Elizabethtown was the 82-41 winner over Twin Valley when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Elizabethtown Bears were beaten by the Twin Valley Raiders 65-29 on Monday. The contest marked the Bears' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Elizabethtown has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Twin Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Elizabethtown and Manheim Central will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 1:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Manheim Central will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Elizabethtown surely won't give up without a fight. As for Twin Valley, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against West York Area at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Twin Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully West York Area likes a good challenge.
