Deerfield Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Suffield Academy. The Big Green sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over the Tigers. The win was nothing new for the Big Green as they're now sitting on four straight.

Deerfield Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Suffield Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Deerfield Academy will take on Worcester Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Hilltoppers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Big Green's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
