Preview: Sterling Rangers vs. Lee Ganders
Sterling is 8-2 against Lee since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Sterling Rangers will head out on the road to face off against the Lee Ganders at 7:00 p.m. Sterling has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 21.
Sterling pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to La Porte on the road by a decisive 78-59 margin. While losing is never fun, Sterling can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1185th, while La Porte is ranked 307th).
Meanwhile, Lee pushed their score all the way to 64 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 74-64 to Pasadena. Lee has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sterling has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Lee, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
Sterling didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lee in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 63-57 victory. Does Sterling have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
