Lugoff-Elgin won the last time they faced Spring Valley and Eric Richardson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Demons came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 21-14 on Friday for which the team can thank Richardson, who rushed for 145 yards and one score on only five carries, and also picked up 88 receiving yards. Lugoff-Elgin is 2-1 when Richardson posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 3-4 otherwise.

The victory got Lugoff-Elgin back to even at 5-5. As for Spring Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Lugoff-Elgin will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Socastee at 7:30 p.m. on the 7th. As for Spring Valley, they have already played their next matchup, a 34-8 defeat against West Florence on the 31st.
