Soccer Game Preview: Lone Star vs. Wakeland

The Lone Star Rangers will challenge the Wakeland Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, neither Lone Star nor Turner could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Lone Star's goal came courtesy of JT Shepperd, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Wakeland put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their undefeated season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand Creekview a 2-0 shutout. Give the Wolverines' defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Wakeland pushed their record up to 10-0-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. With that draw, Lone Star's record moves to 3-3-3.
