C District 2 (8 Man) recap Oct. 9, 2012

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mountain View-Gotebo, who took down 57th ranked Mountain View-Gotebo, 60-52.

Tipton extended the longest winning streak in C District 2 (8 Man) this week by beating Grandfield, 48-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Tigers.

Tipton's Gerald White and Josh Torres have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. White has thrown for 400 yards this season, while Torres, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has six catches for 157 yards. Ryan's Tyler Brown leads the league in rushing yards with 871.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Temple takes on Corn Bible Academy. At the moment, the Tigers are in third, while the Crusaders are in fourth.

Corn Bible Academy was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in C District 2 (8 Man). Earlier in the week, Terry Fellenstein's team triumphed over Gracemont 60-6.
