Softball Recap: East Jessamine Comes Up Short

East Jessamine extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 23-9. They lost 6-0 to the West Jessamine Colts. The game marked the first time this year in which the Jaguars were not able to get on the board.

As for West Jessamine, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 31-6. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won 25 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

For West Jessamine's part, KK Tate was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over seven innings pitched. Tate has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Addi Vahle was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Emerson Collier, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

As of now, neither East Jessamine nor West Jessamine have any future games scheduled.
